TSAS will not offer the PreACT in 2020-2021

What should I expect?

A comprehensive exam covering the four subjects tested on the actual ACT lasting 2 hours 10 minutes:

  • English (30 minutes)
  • Math (40 minutes)
  • Reading (30 minutes)
  • Science (30 minutes)

The questions are as difficult as the actual ACT, there are just fewer of them.

Because this is only a diagnostic test, colleges will never see your scores. You should expect to look over your results to make decisions about future classes to take.

How do I prepare?

Pay close attention in class, especially if the subject is one you have had difficulty with in the past. Ask questions as they arise and let the teacher know if you are not understanding the material.

If you are very curious, take a look at the preparation tools available for the ACT.

What do I do afterwards?

Relax! Then look up the test scores of universities you have your eye on through College Scorecard. If you feel like you can do better, check out the preparation tools above, or go to the Oklahoma OpenEd ACT portal. They offer custom support based on your scores.
