|AboutMe=Hi all! My name is Rebecca Alberty and I teach 8th grade US History. I graduated in May 2021 with a degree in psychology from OU and have experience with mental health work for all ages. Additionally, I have a passion for teaching history and showing children how history shapes our current events and even our day to day life. I aim to incorporate not only historical curriculum in my class, but also important life skills. A fun fact about me is that I have two cats. A calico cat named Peach, and a black cat named Pumpkin, who has three legs. They even have their own Instagram page! When I’m not obsessing over how cute they are, I’m usually hanging out with my friends or family, painting, or binging my newest Netflix favorites.
