Revision as of 13:11, 5 May 2021

This portfolio is a collection of photos I had taken over the course of 2020. Quarantine has changed all of us, whether we wanted it to or not. This past year has opened my eyes to a lot of things; life, love, heartache, and death. I wanted to incorporate all of these lessons through photography, and poetry, through a grim perspective.

How It Began

I started out wanting to do a comic book based on my experience with COVID-19 , a collection of stories of how my 2020 went after schools shut down in person.

How It Changed

I completely changed directions, I've realized through this project, is that i have a tendency to pick off more than i can chew. a comic book is difficult to get started on when you have a year to do it, but i'm definitely satisfied with how my work has changed.

Reflection

This was an amazing experience, I totally flipped course, and found what i was really passionate about. When you think you already know your strengths, big projects can really show you your true strengths. I was always so sure drawing and story boarding was where i was headed, but i went a more realistic route, way more realistic than i thought it was going to be.
