When I was very young and before my grandma passed away she would make pancakes in the shape of gingerbread men. Sometimes she would put chocolate chips for the eyes and fruit for the buttons. I still remember sitting on a stool or in her lap every morning when i would visit her and it would be only us awake at the time and Iād watch her make these gingerbread men pancakes the size of the pan. Feeling the heat from the stove and laughing every time she almost messed up and helping her decorate them for the other kids in the house before anyone anyone would wake up. And we would eat them together while watching one of her shows or the saturday cartoons. Recipe for pancakes from https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/simply-perfect-pancakes-recipe
