The presentation to the right demonstrates one way to use the College Scorecard, a resource maintained by the Federal Department of Education. It offers a cold, if thorough comparison of every university in the United States, and a few outside.

The website is a great resource for making quick decisions about universities you've just heard of—and illustrates well why we tell you to be wary of for-profit institutions.
