It’s a beautiful, long-awaited painting of my mom and a representation of the women in the Latin community. It’s one of the most complicated paintings that I’ve ever completed — maybe that’s why it took long! The video is just a brief explanation of my complications and my journey doing this painting of my mother’s life story and the symbolism within it. I hope it’s well accepted.

How It Began

I wanted to do multiple paintings or a fun museum.

How It Changed

Yes I did change it — it was difficult. I had change my whole process and my plans, but TSAS really provided resources, materials, and motivation.

Reflection

I learned to always turn in things on time. Being late is not acceptable and I should have a plan.
