Why I teach I teach because it immediately shapes the culture around me. Getting to work with students is a transformative experience for both the students and myself. I teach to bridge the gap between creative expression and systemic, formulaic education practices. I want my students to keep their imaginations alive as long as they exist, and I believe I am a better person because I get to facilitate learning in this way.
