Why I teach	I teach because I knew I would be a teacher when I was a little girl. I have always loved the joy that comes from watching a person master a concept, learn a skill or gain confidence in their own humanity. I love teaching. I have done a lot of jobs, but teaching is my calling.
About me	I love television as an art form and as a tool to educate. I am a huge fan of British costume dramas, the original Perry Mason, 30 Rock, and PBS documentaries. When I’m not watching TV, I read, write, play in my garden, sing really loudly and off key, and spend time with my 3 wonderful kids and my awesome husband. I was once a publicist and the best part of the job was free books and meeting some of the most famous authors on the planet.

-whytsas = I have always wanted to teach in a school that valued every student as a human being and every teacher as a professional. I thought a school like TSAS could not possibly exist. It took two states, six schools, and one TSAS graduate (my son’s favorite teacher who suggested TSAS was the best place for him) to find the best kept secret in education.
