| Why I teach | I teach because I grew up in a very small town with limited experiences. While I started college right out of high school, I didn’t finish with a degree until I was an adult with three children. During my education as an adult, I came to understand the classroom as a place of discovery and empowerment, far different than I had experienced in my childhood. I teach to share that same empowerment with young people. |
| About me | I am slightly claustrophobic, love Indian food, and really enjoy reading books and talking about them with other people, which sometimes annoys my students. |
