College Websites
From TSAS Library
Colleges provide information about themselves through their website, pamphlets and handouts, admissions counselor visits, and campus visits.
These are informative, but ultimately meant to sell you on their product: a degree from them.
Reading critically will allow you to make the best decision for yourself. Here’s how.
There are four major sections of any university’s website:
- Academics: degrees and study options
- Admissions/Future Students: applications, admissions counselor contacts, visit opportunities, class profiles
- Financial Aid: cost of attendance, merit-based scholarships, work-study programs
- Student Life: housing and food, student organizations, athletics
