PSAT Spring ACT Fall ACT
PSAT
OCCT Science & US History

The table to the right is a quick overview of the tests given at TSAS during your final three years. Broadly, College and Career Readiness Assessments (CCRA) covering Science and U.S. History content are required for graduation along with the ACT. The ACT is also used by universities and scholarship providers for determining eligibility. All of these assessments are administered in your junior year of high school

To help you keep track of them, I have added all testing dates to the Calendar. Just click the Google icon on the bottom right to add them to your own.

PSAT

All juniors are encouraged to take the PSAT.

Additionally, this test taken junior year is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The National Merit Scholarship will earn you a full ride to most universities across the country.

  • Sign up before October 6th by bringing $20 to Taylor. Checks payable to TSAS.
  • Test date is October 11th at 8:30 in the Commons.
  • More information here.

ACT

Necessary for most college applications and scholarship opportunities. All TSAS juniors will take the ACT free of charge in the spring of their junior year.

All students should take the ACT at least twice—once spring of junior year and once fall of senior year—but 10th graders taking advanced math classes may benefit from taking it early. Those interested in early action/decision should take it twice their junior year.
